HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU AND YOUR PLAYER/CHEERLEADER:
Coaches interviews and approvals are handled throughout the summer. Teams are put together after the final (late) registration in July.
Keep in mind, our teams are formulated with 2 things in mind.
'Grandfathered' players and 'unassigned' players:
GRANDFATHERED PLAYERS are those that have previously played for a coach, were within that coaches boundaries, and wish to play for the
same coach the following year.
UNASSIGNED PLAYERS are those that are new to SEV, wish to play for a different team from the previous year or have a coach or assistant coach
that is not returning from the previous year. These players are assigned to teams based on the 'neighborhood boundaries'.
There are a few exceptions. Please see the
CAYFL RULE BOOK for details.
If you should have any questions prior to the team coordination, please feel free to email info@sevyouthfootball.com. We will try to respond
within a reasonable amount of time. Please be patient as we are all volunteers.
Once the teams are put together, you will be contacted by your coach.
TACKLE will start Monday, August 2nd.
Flag and Cheer start August 16th.
Certification Day ( for Tackle teams ) Date and Location TBD.
First TACKLE game , September 4th ( will play a 10 week season )
First FLAG game , September 11th. ( will play a 9 week season )
